EnCann is pleased to announce it has secured its primary extraction, packaging and research location in Kelowna, BC.
Starting with 16,500sq. ft of space, EnCann is poised to capitalize on the upcoming concentrates, vapes, edibles and topicals market, with an expansion option up to 48,000 sq.ft within the year. This state-of-the-art facility will be the center of EnCann’s services with a primary focus on industrial scale extraction. The initial build out includes extraction and distillation equipment, packaging lines for dried flower and white labeled products, research and development labs, analytical lab space, and ancillary services including milling and drying. Serving both cannabis and hemp customers, EnCann will offer bulk oil extraction, sale of active pharmaceutical ingredients for edibles and other processors as well as finished, white labeled products.
On opening, EnCann expects this facility to have a processing capacity of 50,000kg/month using EnCann’s patent-pending ethanol extraction system. EnCann anticipates this system will be a game changer in the industry, due to its ability to operate at room-temperature without co-extracting any chlorophylls, fats, waxes or other undesirables, reducing the need for post processing and reducing the overall energy footprint of the facility. EnCann can begin operations with two extraction systems and expand rapidly with an additional six to eight units, depending on market demand and trends.
Kelowna has become a hub for Canadian cannabis, boasting multiple cultivators, extraction facilities, labs and research companies and will be ideally situated for the coming concentrates and edibles markets. This location will provide a minimum of 12 full time employment positions to the community on opening.
EnCann Solutions a standard processor applicant filling a vital gap in the legal cannabis market, as an industrial-scale cannabis extraction company prepared to service the growing need for extracts in both the Canadian medical and recreational markets.
